What is your shipping policy?
For residential mats, Starting August 20, 2012, we began a policy of charging a flat rate $8 on all shipments. If you purchase over $100 worth of products shipping is free. The only restriction to our Free shipping offer is that the shipment be in the Contiguous U.S, the lower 48 states (sorry Alaska and Hawaii), and to 1 address. For custom logo mats shipping is free. The only restriction to our Logo mat Free shipping offer is that the shipment be in the Contiguous U.S., the lower 48 states, and to 1 address. Address corrections AFTER the mat has shipped may incur additional charges.

Are there any restrictions on personalization?
The Personalized Doormats Company believes in your right to express yourself however you want. However, we rely on manufacturers to produce our mats and these manufacturers may have tighter restrictions on what they will or will not print. In light of this we searched high and low to find a manufacturers that would be willing to share in our efforts to allow the public to print what they want. This effort culminated in our new line of "Write Your Own Un-Welcome Mats" that allows just that! You can also print anything on our Duracoir line of mats.
Do you gift wrap?
We are not able to offer gift wrapping on our mats. We do, however, have a gift announcement card. Just print, add a special message and send. It's that easy. It lets that special know a customized gift is on its way.

What is your
cancellation policy?
Because we send our mats to various manufacturers to get printed, some can print a mat in a day others may take 3-4 days. Call immediately when you know of a cancellation and we will see if it can be done.
How do I care for my mat?
Caring for
mats is different for various mat
styles.
Coir: "Sweep and Shake" is the best way to
describe the cleaning process for coir, this would also include the pressed
coir used in the rubber backed and the Sports logo mats. The coir mats will fade over time if in
direct sunlight so a sheltered entrance is recommended. They will shed more in the first few weeks
but that will diminish over time.
Wood: Wooden doormats require very little
care. Through time the wood will fade to
a nice silver gray color. However, if you would like to preserve the new wood
look, you can treat the doormats with wood sealer being very careful not to
seal any painted parts of the mat.
Carpeted: Our high-quality doormats are crafted
to last, and feature UV stabilizers and durable inks. However, sunlight,
weather, and heavy use can take a toll on the finest doormat over the years. To care for the carpeted mats you can spot clean and vaccuum.
New Wave: Our new wave mat material can be
easily cleaned by washing or hosing. It
is made of neoprene or sponge rubber, the same material wetsuits are made
of. Very durable and water resistant.
Waterhog: The fabric face of the Waterhog door
mat is 100% polypropylene -- a fast drying fabric that won't rot or fade.
Waterhog mats are also anti-static and can withstand a maximum voltage of 1.6K.
What are your personalization options?:
Personalization on our coir, aluminum, rubber,
New Wave, and wooden mats are capital letters only. Most times people use their last name without
the possessive. For example, "Danley" might look cleaner than "The Danleys" or
"Danley’s", but you can choose whichever you like. Monogram mats can only have
one initial. You can put two to three initials on our full personalized mats
such as "SAJ" for Shirley Ann Jones. Our coir, aluminum, rubber and wooden mats
have the following marks available: & (ampersand), ! (Exclamation point), /
(slash), numbers, ? (Question
mark). Our coir and wooden mats also
have # (number symbol), - (hyphen) and ‘ (apostrophe)
I'm giving my mat as a gift, will the recipient see any pricing information?
No. We keep all pricing information off of the packing slip.
I ordered 2 mats but I only received 1 of them. Why?
Depending on what you ordered, the personalization is done separately, thus they may be sent out separately. Also depending on the materials, they may be made in different factories. We are working hard to make sure the mats are sent together when possible.
How do you handle billing?:
Because the website provides non-refundable personalized products, your credit card will be billed the moment the order is placed.
How many characters will fit on my mat?
Each mat is different, but the number of characters are listed on the order page personalization box for each mat. Spaces are counted as a character.
Do you offer special discounts for volume orders or frequent business orders (e.g. realtors, home builders)?
