Lets take a typical house....
Front door, covered entrance moderate to light traffic:
At the front door we would use a Coir Knot. A very durable thick rubber backed coir mat that can not only withstand the intense elements but looks great as well. Our entire rubber backed line is made the same way so check them out.
Garage door, enclosed entranceway heavy traffic
At the garage door, a heavily used entrance, we use the Charleston Half Round. Highly durable, does not fade and looks the same as when we bought it a year and a half ago. Our entire line of classic coir mats are made the same so choose your design preference and you won't be disappointed!
Back door, enclosed entranceway moderate to heavy traffic
At the back door we might suggest a completely blank luxury coir 22 x 36, a fantastic
scraper mat. When the kids come in after a stressful day of playing in the mud and dirt this mat is a great barrier. Just vacuum it twice a month or when needed and it will keep the dirt out.
Outdoor shower, open to elements and water
If you have a pool or outdoor shower we would recommend a plain wood doormat. This is an excellent choice for an outdoor shower, beach type homes, or similar use.
